Fortris™ AI Hardware Warranty & Return Policy

Applies to: All Battle Motors-supplied Hardware used with the Fortris™ AI platform

Battle Motors ("Company," "we," "us") warrants that Hardware provided in connection with the Fortris™ AI platform will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the applicable warranty period set forth below. This Hardware Warranty & Return Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Fortris™ AI Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings assigned in the Terms.
1. Warranty Coverage
The following warranty periods apply from the date the Hardware is delivered to the Customer's designated shipping address:
- Telematics Gateways & DVR Units: Two (2) years from the date of delivery.
- Ancillary Accessories (cables, mounts, antennas, harnesses): One (1) year from the date of delivery.
- Professional Installation Services: Ninety (90) days from the date of installation completion.
- Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS): Full term of the applicable HaaS subscription, provided the Customer remains in good standing and the Hardware has not been subjected to any Warranty Exclusion listed below.
2. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:
- Misuse, abuse, accident, or operation outside the Hardware's published specifications.
- Improper installation or installation performed by personnel not authorized or certified by Battle Motors.
- Exposure to environmental conditions beyond published tolerances (e.g., submersion, extreme temperatures outside rated range).
- Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality.
- Unauthorized modification, disassembly, tampering, or removal of serial-number labels.
- Use of non-approved third-party accessories, power supplies, or cabling.
3. Return / RMA Process
To initiate a warranty claim or return, the Customer must follow these steps:
- Step 1 — Submit a Support Ticket: Open a ticket via the Fortris™ Command Portal or by emailing fortris@battlemotors.com. Include the device serial number, a description of the issue, and any supporting photos or diagnostic logs.
- Step 2 — Remote Diagnostics: The Fortris™ support team will perform remote diagnostics to confirm whether the issue is Hardware-related and covered under warranty.
- Step 3 — RMA Issuance: If a Hardware defect is confirmed, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and prepaid return shipping label will be issued within one (1) business day.
- Step 4 — Replacement Shipment: A replacement unit will be shipped within two (2) business days of RMA issuance via standard ground shipping (expedited shipping available upon request at additional cost).
- Step 5 — Return of Defective Unit: The Customer must return the defective Hardware using the prepaid label within fifteen (15) business days of receiving the replacement. Failure to return the defective unit may result in a charge for the full replacement value.
4. Advanced Replacement
Customers on the Pro or Vision service tiers are eligible for Advanced Replacement, in which a replacement unit is shipped before the defective unit is returned. Advanced Replacement requires a valid credit card on file; a hold equal to the retail value of the Hardware will be placed and released upon receipt and inspection of the returned defective unit within the fifteen (15) business-day return window.
5. Non-Warranty Returns
Hardware that is outside the applicable warranty period or that exhibits damage attributable to a Warranty Exclusion may still be submitted for repair or replacement at the Customer's expense. A diagnostic fee may apply, and the Customer will receive a cost estimate before any repair work is performed. All non-warranty repairs carry a ninety (90)-day limited warranty on parts and labor.
6. Limitation on Warranty
THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH IN THIS POLICY ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTIES PROVIDED BY BATTLE MOTORS WITH RESPECT TO THE HARDWARE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BATTLE MOTORS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. BATTLE MOTORS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE HARDWARE WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. IN NO EVENT SHALL BATTLE MOTORS' TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE AFFECTED HARDWARE.
